Kailahun, Site of First Ebola Case in Sierra Leone, Free of New Cases. Health Workers Transfer to Magburaka

Good news continue to come from Kailahun district where the first case of Ebola in Sierra Leone was recorded.

Reports say the Kailahun district Case Management Center is now reportedly empty and most of the health workers in the district have been transferred today to a treatment facility at Magburaka in the Tonkolili district.

The Kailahun Case Management Center has also placed some of its clinicians on standby.

District officials confirm that the area has not recorded any new case of Ebola since December 14 and the last patient at its holding center was discharged two days ago.

Kailahun might become the first district to completely break the chain of transmission.
