Sierra Leone health officials recorded 31 new Ebola infections on January 10, 2015.
Freetown and its surrounding rural communities account for 17 of the new infections. Portloko reported 8 new infections.
As of January 10, 2015 official records state that a total of 1,248 people have tested positive in Portloko alone and over 3,000 are also Ebola positive in Freetown and its surrounding areas.
For now, Freetown and Portloko remain the leading Ebola hot spots in Sierra Leone, according to official reports.
