State House sources in Freetown have disclosed that the Chairman of the African Union (AU), President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of Mauritania, will arrive in Sierra Leone on Tuesday January 6, 2015 on a visit as part of a 3-country tour of Ebola-hit Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
He is expected to asses the situation in the region where Ebola continues to claim lives.
Sources say the Mauritanian leader will be received at the Lungi International Airport by President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone and some of his officials.
They are expected to hold a joint press conference at the Presidential Lounge at the end of the visit.
