International news sources report that United Nations Secretary General, Banki Moon is expected to visit Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone – the countries most affected by the deadly ebola epidemic.
Banki Moon is expected to discuss the national response of the countries and ongoing efforts to contain the epidemic.
The UN Secretary General’s visit comes a few days after the UN’s Economic Commission proposed that countries affected by the Ebola epidemic should be granted debt relief to help them recover from the economic difficulties caused by the epidemic.
